Standard Construction Hoist / Personnel Hoist checklist (for reference)
1. Check rack sections along full height for wear, damage or contamination
2. Check guide shoes and rollers on cage for wear and correct clearance
3. Check mast section joints and tie brackets to structure are secure
4. Check safety gear — carry out weekly function test per manufacturer instructions
5. Check buffer springs or hydraulic buffers at base of travel
6. Check brake pads and brake mechanism for wear
7. Check all electrical cables, connections and earthing
8. Check lubrication of rack, pinion and all designated grease points
9. Check landing gate hinges, latches and interlocks at every level
10. Confirm weekly inspection record is signed and filed
