1. Check structural members for cracks or deformation
2. Check all wire rope for wear, kinks or broken strands
3. Check pulleys and sheaves for wear
4. Check all hooks and safety latches
5. Check braking systems
6. Check radius/load chart is in cab and legible
7. Check outriggers and stabilisers
