BFT — Tower Crane ⭐ Weekly
Enter one check item per line. This weekly checklist will be shown to operatives instead of the standard checklist whenever they inspect a Tower Crane on hire from BFT .
Standard Tower Crane checklist (for reference)
1. Check all mast flange bolts and climbing frame pins are fully torqued and secure
2. Check jib and counter-jib chord members and lacings for cracks or deformation
3. Check slewing ring gear teeth and bearing for wear, pitting or unusual play
4. Check all wire ropes along full length for broken wires, kinks or corrosion
5. Check all sheaves and pulleys for wear and correct rope seating
6. Check hook block, swivel and safety latch for wear and freedom of movement
7. Check hoist drum and rope anchorage
8. Check all electrical connections, control panel and cab instruments
9. Check lubrication of slewing ring, wire ropes and all grease points
10. Check anchorage and tie-in frames to structure are secure and undamaged
11. Confirm weekly inspection record is signed and filed
